Welcome!

Welcome to the first ever Comm Week blog! We are pleased to have you with us. With Comm Week fast approaching, the Comm Week Task Force is busy underway preparing for another amazing year.

What is Comm Week you ask? Comm Week is a student-run conference here at Cal State Fullerton open to every and any major. Students, faculty, and staff from all Colleges of the campus are invited as Communication students host and plan this special event. Within the week there are guest speakers, professional panels, a poetry slam, movie screenings, and special events including mixers and Q&A’s with some of the communication industry’s leading players.

Now you may be asking yourself, how does this pertain to me if I’m not Journalism or Advertising major? Well, Comm Week is presented by the College of Communications. The College of Communications is the larger umbrella over the Department of Radio, TV and Film, Department of Human Communication Studies, and the Department of Communications. So you can see that this event directly impacts three departments, but all students are encouraged to attend. Perhaps a Criminal Justice major would be interested in hearing a crisis communications speaker or an Art student would love to hear a speaker talk about ways to be discovered with new media.

Comm Week at CSUF is celebrating our 31st birthday this year, and we know this will be a year you will never forget. We’re looking forward to seeing you there, and right here for all the exciting updates along the way!
