Meet the Task Force!

All great events have one thing in common: There are many, many people, you never see that put the event together. In the case of Comm Week, it is the Comm Week Task Force.

Each task force member is a student at Cal State Fullerton. Even though we have different educational goals, we are all united in one task. Each of us knows that Comm Week 2009 is going to be the best one in the event’s 31-year history.

Our Executive Committee is doing a great job keeping us all on track and keeping us excited for the long road ahead.

The Hospitality Committee has the job of making our guests feel welcomed, as well as the over all look and feel of the University Conference Center during Comm Week.

The Communications Committee has the grand task of generating all press releases, flyers, blogs, publicity and all internal communications for Comm Week.

Each member of the task force is paired with professors from the College of Communications. Aligning with the classes that our professors teach, each Task Force member must then find speakers to become a “Speaker for a Day” for that professor.

The Committee with the most arduous task is the Scheduling and Logistics Committee. They are responsible for keeping a database of all of the speakers’ information and audio visual needs for Comm Week.

As the excitement grows for Comm Week, so does the pace of the planning. As of Monday March 23, 2009 there are 29 days left until this exciting event begins.
