The month of March was chaotic and stressful due to crucial deadlines, but in the end things seemed to work out. Our number one priority and accomplishment: Team Millennia! It took some time and effort to book Team Millennia, from America’s Best Dance Crew, to judge and perform at our Best Dance Crew competition, but it was all worth it. I’m so excited to have this event PUMP UP THE VOLUME for Comm Week 09.
I also confirmed a few speakers for three faculty members: Debra L. Brunner, a speech-language pathologist will be speaking for Prof. Seung’s Language Development class. Chief Mike Messina, a 34-year veteran of the Brea Police Department (retired), will be speaking to Prof. Page’s Business Communication class. Lastly, Jodi Lederman, head of Public Relations for Paramount Digital at Paramount Pictures, will be speaking for Prof. Hamilton’s Public Relations Management class.
I’ve learned so much about booking speakers, scheduling events, contacting groups to publicize our event, etc. I’m so eager to see our finished product and all the hard work our committee has done to bring in new students and visitors to our wonderful event: COMM WEEK 09!
